Jumhurii Tojikiston national opens fire on Moldovan border guards

On 30 June, a man with Tojik nationality killed one border guard and one security officer at Chișinău airport when he was refused permission to cross the border. 

This was announced by the Prime Minister of the country, Dorin Recean. 

Moldovan border guards did not allow the man to enter Moldova for security reasons. He was then supposed to be escorted to a specially designated area of the airport. However, he grabbed the weapon of one of the border guards and opened fire. He killed one border guard and one security guard. One passenger was injured. 

After that, special forces arrived at the airport, wounded the attacker and detained him. 

It is not yet known why the detainee was denied entry into the country.
