International Monetary Fund reopens its office in Ukraine

The IMF has reopened its office in Kyiv, Ukraine.

IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva announced this.

"I am delighted to announce the reopening of the IMF Resident Representative Office in Kyiv, as we further deepen our engagement with Ukraine," Georgieva wrote.

Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale war, the IMF mission has been operating outside Ukraine.

It will be recalled that on October 1, an IMF team led by Uma Ramakrishnan, Deputy Director of the Fund's European Department, arrived in Kyiv to meet with Ukrainian authorities and other partners.
