In the morning of June 1, hostilities were ongoing in the Belgorod region of Russia

At around 2 pm, the Russian Volunteer Corps stated that their advanced units were fighting near Novaya Tavolzhanka and Titovka. These settlements are located in the suburbs of Schebekino.

Earlier, the Belgorod region operational department claimed that battles were allegedly occurring near Shchebekino. Instead, the region governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, declared, "There is no enemy on the territory of the region, and there never was."

Russian propagandists say that at least one thousand people have left Shchebekino during June 1. The town allegedly is de-energised, and shops and public transport doesn't work. A dormitory located near the town administration caught fire.
