The First Lady of Ukraine arrived in Kharkiv for the International Day of Children — Innocent Victims of Aggression and unveiled a monument to children who have died as a result of Russia's armed aggression.

Zelenska announced this on her Telegram channel.

"It is difficult to unveil monuments to the dead. Especially if these victims are children. After all, children have to live. Just like the little residents of the houses destroyed by Russian missiles across the country had to live. All the passengers of the cars with the inscription "Children" shot by the occupiers should have lived," she said.

She called on the global community to realise that the threat to Ukrainian children is a threat to children in general, as childhood has no borders.

At least 485 underage Ukrainians have been killed as a result of Russia's full-scale invasion.
