Hungary has again blocked the next European aid package for Ukraine

On June 26, at a meeting of the EU Council at the level of Foreign Ministers, Hungary did not approve the transfer of €500 million in aid to Ukraine.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó stated this.

The reason is the same as it was the last time in May. Back then, Hungary blocked the decision due to the inclusion of the Hungarian OTP Bank in the list of international sponsors of terrorism.

The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption added OTP Bank to the list in early May. This bank continues to operate in Russia and pay taxes to the Russian budget, as well as provide preferential loans to the Russian military.
