Germany may nationalize the Russian Gazprom branch

The Federal Government of Germany secretly created a corporate group to be able to nationalize Gazprom's German branch, Gazprom Germania, as soon as possible. It is still under the supervision of the Federal Network Agency of Germany.

A spokeswoman for the Federal Ministry of Economy noted that the company was created back in May 2022 "exclusively as a precautionary measure for any restructuring measures."
