Eight Ukrainian women on the list of the BBC 100 Women 2022

The list includes First Lady Olena Zelenska, politician and volunteer Yana Zinkevych, journalist Kristina Berdynskykh, paramedic Yulia Paievska, human rights activists Yulia Sachuk and Oleksandra Matviychuk, doctor Iryna Kondratova and mathematician Maryna Vyazovska.

As part of the project, the BBC editorial team annually identifies 100 women from around the world who inspire and influence the world throughout the year. They also make films, reports and interviews telling the stories of these women.
