Due to the destruction of the Novocherkassk ship in the temporarily occupied Feodosia, 74 Russian sailors were killed — Ukrainian hackers of the Cyber Resistance group

During the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on December 26, 2023, which destroyed the large Russian ship Novocherkassk, 74 Russian servicemen were killed, and 27 others were injured.

The National Resistance Centre of Ukraine reports this with reference to the activists of the Cyber Resistance. 

The activists have a letter to the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, which was intercepted from the mailbox of a propagandist of the Nashi TV project on Russia 1.

The letter confirms the death of the majority of the ship's personnel. 

In addition, the Russian service of Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty reports this with reference to the Sevastopol News portal. Initially, the release, sent by the press service of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, was published by most Crimean media, but the publications were removed later. 

Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief Nikolai Yevmenov plans to announce two days of mourning for the victims.

It will be recalled that the Ukrainian army liquidated the Russian landing ship Novocherkassk in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The Russian Ministry of Defence confirmed the "damage" to the ship.
