Chinese Ambassador to France Lu Shaye questions the sovereignty of the countries that were part of the USSR

He states there is no simple answer to the question "Who owns Crimea" - the diplomat's interview with the French channel LCI.
Shaye says there is no treaty that defines the international legal status of the former members of the USSR.
In response, Ukraine's Ambassador to France Vadym Omelchenko points out that this statement by the Chinese diplomat does not coincide with the official position of China and suggests that Lu Shaye has problems with geography.
