Azerbaijan to continue "anti-terrorist measures" in Nagorno-Karabakh until the so-called "Artsakh Republic" dissolves

The Azerbaijani presidential mission has said that the country will continue "anti-terrorist measures" in Nagorno-Karabakh until the so-called Artsakh Republic dissolves and Armenian troops completely withdraw.

A statement to this effect was published on the Mission's social media accounts.

The country is ready to meet with representatives of the Armenian population living in the region.

They added that the country had allegedly repeatedly invited representatives of the Armenian population of the region to a dialogue on reintegration into Azerbaijan, but they refused.

Now, in order to stop the "anti-terrorist measures", Armenian "armed groups must lay down their arms", and the "illegal regime must disband".

The country's Ministry of Defence claims that the Azerbaijani armed forces in Karabakh have taken control of more than 60 Armenian military positions.

It will be recalled that on September 19, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence announced "local anti-terrorist measures" in Nagorno-Karabakh to restore constitutional order. Azerbaijan demands the complete withdrawal of the Armenian Armed Forces from Karabakh.

The EU called on Azerbaijan to cease hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh, and France called for an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council.
