Azerbaijan and Armenia accuse each other of shelling the border over the past 24 hours
Baku/Yerevan, Azerbaijan/Armenia (Svidomi) — The defence ministries of Azerbaijan and Armenia have accused each other of shelling the border over the past 24 hours. There are casualties on the Armenian side.
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence claims that units of the Armenian Armed Forces fired at Azerbaijani military positions along the Tovuz direction.
In response, Azerbaijani border guards conducted an operation called "Revenge". Baku claims that as a result of this operation, they destroyed an Armenian military post.
In turn, the Armenian Ministry of Defence claims that starting from the morning of February 13, the Azerbaijani military opened fire with small arms at Armenian positions located in the Nerkin Khand region. The Armenian side has two dead and wounded.
Earlier, the Prime Minister of Armenia stated that the country was ready to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan.
