As a result of the Russian occupation of Mariupol, ships in the seaport are in critical condition

According to the Mariupol City Council, the port was one of the largest in Ukraine, and its capacity allowed it to handle more than 10 million tons of cargo per year.

"The port of Mariupol under occupation looks like this. Sunken ships, ruins and complete decay," the statement reads.

In 2022, the port was to open a new grain terminal.

"It was supposed to become the most powerful complex for processing grain cargo. But the Russians destroyed everything," the press service says.
