An entire rare animal species may disappear due to the flooding after the Kakhovka HPP explosion

One animal species that may disappear is the Falzfein's jerboa. This rodent species is endemic and does not live anywhere else. 

Ecologist Oleh Lystopad told Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty Ukrainian berue that there are several such unique species in the territory.
