Ukraine proposes to create Special tribunal for Russian war crimes

"I’m speaking clearly: Ukraine is accusing Russia of the crime of aggression. In conjunction with other states, organisations and institutions we will use all the available instruments in order to get justice for thousands of innocent victims of this crime. We won’t give up until the guilty are held accountable", the Foreign Minister Kuleba said.

He named five main parameters, which are proposed to be the basis of the tribunal. Among them: the jurisdiction of the Special Tribunal will extend to all events since February 2014, the official status of the defendant will not exempt such a person from responsibility and will not mitigate the punishment, and the Special Tribunal will consider only crimes of Russian aggression against Ukraine.
