Germany calls on Canada to unblock the turbine due to which, according to the Russian Federation, Nord Stream 1 is not working
German Vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck publicly appealed to the Canadian government to release the turbine from sanctions against Russia.
"I will be the first to fight for tough EU sanctions in the future, but that means they have to hurt Russia and Putin more than our economy," Habeck said.
According to Habeck, the capacity of Nord Stream 1 is needed to fill the gas storages, which is important not only for the German market but also for the European market.
