Zelenskyy: "we are mentally ready and preparing technically" to regain Crimea — the President of Ukraine during a press conference on the anniversary of the full-scale invasion

"There are military moves; we are working on them, we are mentally ready, we are preparing technically — with weapons, reinforcement, formation of offensive brigades. We are sending people for training; we must be fully prepared. And then there will be appropriate and fair de-occupation measures," the president said when asked whether Ukraine could return Crimea "physically" this year.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that Ukraine is working to ensure that countries from different continents are engaged in the "peace formula." In particular, the president wants Latin America, Africa, India, and even China to join this formula.

"Our task is to involve absolutely everyone and show the world: here it is, respect for territorial integrity, for the UN Charter, for the right of people to live," he said.

In his opinion, Ukraine still has not been present on the African continent for 30 years, so he would like to hold a special summit with these countries. For that, Zelenskyy could leave the country.

The president is also interested in Brazil becoming a platform for information about Ukraine in Latin America.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that the Red Cross failed to gain access to prisoners of war, so international institutions require change.

The President commented on China's "peace plan" during the press conference.

"This is their vision... There are points with which I agree. There are points with which I disagree. Not only me, but the whole world," the president said.

In his opinion, the points with which Ukraine agrees can be discussed. Because "our task is to bring everyone together to isolate certain ones." It is essential for Ukraine that China does not supply weapons to Russia. Zelenskyy also wants to meet with Xi Jinping.

"I believe this will benefit our states and security in the world," he said.

Zelenskyy said that deported Ukrainian children would return to Ukraine, and Russia would be held accountable for this crime.

"They [the Russians] believe that they did not abduct anyone and sheltered children fleeing the 'Nazis'. But, of course, the children will return anyway. So there will be responsibility for this," he said.

Zelenskyy does not rule out that Russia may attack another country.

He says Putin needs to be shown success. This attack could target a country that used to be under the influence of the Soviet Union or a country with some instability.

As soon as Ukrainian intelligence intercepted Russia's plan to change Moldova's political leadership, Zelenskyy immediately passed it on to President Sandu.

According to him, Russia is now deliberately spreading information about Ukraine's alleged "preparations to attack unrecognised Transnistria," provoking an escalation in the region and could attack Moldova.

The President also announced possible future training of Ukrainian fighter pilots in three other European countries besides Poland and the UK.

He added that Ukraine discussed security guarantees with the EU, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

"Most state leaders believe in the victory of Ukraine, and thus in the defeat of Russia," the President of Ukraine said.
