Zelenskyy orders Ukrainian government to be on Ukrainian-Polish border by February 24

Kyiv, Ukraine, (Svidomi) — Amid protests by Polish farmers who have been scattering Ukrainian grain and making anti-Ukrainian statements, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has instructed the Ukrainian government to be at the border between Ukraine and Poland by February 24.

He calls for Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk to come to the border as well, and for President Duda to support this dialogue.

He believes that the issue is being overly politicised. Ukraine cannot accept what is happening on the Ukrainian-Polish border, nor the fact that farmers have begun to chant "openly pro-Putin slogans".

He explained that the grain the protesters threw out of the wagons on February 20, was not intended for sale in Poland. There is currently no agreement between the two countries on grain exports.

The President of Ukraine is ready to take part in this meeting at the border together with the Ukrainian government.

Zelenskyy has also asked the European Commission to send a representative to the meeting.

Ukraine is seeking a joint and pragmatic solution to the situation on the Polish-Ukrainian border.
