Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi had a final conversation with Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley.
This is stated on his social media accounts.
Milley's term is coming to an end, so the next Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Charles Q. Brown Jr., joined the conversation.
"We discussed the situation at the frontline with our partners. I informed them about the progress of defensive and offensive operations. The situation is under control. Our soldiers did not allow the loss of any positions. In some areas, despite the enemy's fierce resistance, we continue to move forward," said the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
