Yevgeny Prigozhin says that the Russian Ministry of Defence allegedly launched a missile strike on the Wagner PMC rear camps

Wagner PMC Leader Yevgeny Prigozhin said that the regular army of the Russian Ministry of Defence had allegedly launched a missile attack on the rear camps of the Wagner Group.

The Wagner PMC is a Russian military formation recognised as an international criminal and terrorist organisation. Wagner mercenaries are involved in hostilities in Ukraine, Syria, Sudan, Libya, and the Central African Republic.

During the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Wagner mercenaries took an active part in the battles for Bakhmut.

The owner of the Wagner PMC has repeatedly criticised Russia's military leadership for incompetence and cowardice. In Bakhmut, he claimed that the Ministry of Defence had left the Wagner soldiers without ammunition.

"A huge number of our fighters were killed. We will decide how to respond. The next step is up to us," the PMC founder said about the alleged missile attack on Wagner mercenaries by the Ministry of Defence on June 23.

Prigozhin said that Russian Defence Minister, Sergei Shoigu, had deliberately arrived in Rostov to conduct an operation to destroy the Wagner PMC.

The Russian Ministry of Defence denied this and called Prigozhin's reports of strikes on Wagner PMC a provocation.

"There are 25,000 of us, and we are going to find out why there is lawlessness in the country. 25,000 people are waiting in a tactical reserve, and the strategic reserve is the entire army and the entire country. Anyone who wants to join us is welcome. We have to put an end to this disgrace," said the Wagner leader.

The PMC's goal is to stop the "evil that the military leadership" of Russia is doing and to restore justice. Prigozhin said that anyone who resists will be killed.

After the Wagner fighters "finish what they started,” they will return to the front to "defend the homeland.”
