Yan Petrovsky entered Finland under a new name under his wife’s student residence permit

The militant's lawyer Natalia Malgina announced this, Helsingin Sanomat reports.

In the summer of 2023, the militant's wife entered a Finnish university of applied sciences.

Together with her and their three children, Petrovsky received a one-year residence permit. They moved to Finland on July 19.

The lawyer is trying to prevent Torden's extradition from Finland to Ukraine.

"He will not be let into the Ukrainian courtroom alive," she said.

Malgina claims that Petrovsky allegedly took part in 'political activities' in Ukraine in 2014 and denies that he fought there.

It will be recalled that on August 25, a Finnish court was to consider the case of the leader of the illegal military group Rusich, Yan Petrovsky.
