Wreckage of Shahed drone found in Moldova near border with Ukraine
Chișinău, Moldova (Svidomi) — For the second time in six days, the wreckage of a Shahed drone was found in Moldova near the border with Ukraine, according to the Border Police of Moldova. The drone is the same model used by Russia for attacks in Ukraine.
The wreckage fell near the village of Etulia, Vulcănești district. They were found in a field about 2 km from the Moldovan-Ukrainian border and about 5 km from the village.
Experts examined the wreckage and concluded that it posed no threat to people.
On February 11, the wreckage of a Shahed drone was found in the same area. At the time, the police claimed that the wreckage was from one of the drones shot down by Ukrainian air defence on the night of February 10.
