Water leaked from the primary to the secondary reactor circuit at Zaporizhzhia NPP Unit No. 4.

Energoatom reported this.

"There was no radiological release into the environment," the statement said.

The incident occurred as a result of damage to the third steam generator located in the unit's pressure vessel. The occupation "plant administration" is now forced to put Unit No. 4 into a cold shutdown mode.

At the same time, over the next three days, the Russians plan to put Unit No. 6 into a hot shutdown mode. According to Energoatom, this will be another violation of the licence terms and requirements of the regulator.

It will be recalled that on August 9, ZNPP lost power from the main external 750 kV power line and was connected to a 330 kV backup line. The main line was later repaired and reconnected to the plant.
