Wagner PMC militants destroy seven Russian aircraft during unrest in Russia

Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yurii Ihnat said that Wagner's soldiers had shot down one aircraft, two combat helicopters, and four transport helicopters.

Ihnat said that the Wagner mercenaries understood that Russian aviation was capable of breaking up their military convoys quickly and effectively.

"This was probably what the PMC fighters were afraid of, and therefore they preemptively destroyed what was in the sky... Aviation today can break up a marching column very quickly," Ihnat said.
