Volodymyr Zelenskyy is shocked by the reaction of the UN and the Red Cross to the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP

The President of Ukraine is surprised that the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross did not arrive in the Kherson region on time. He believes that these organisations need to be rebooted.

He stated this in an interview with the Welt newspaper.

"I called the Minister of Internal Affairs, who was appointed head of the headquarters for the liquidation of the aftermath of this explosion, and when I asked him whether other international organisations had already joined the relief effort, he said: "There is no one, there is no UN, there are no representatives of the Red Cross," the President said. He also added that Ukraine had not received a response to requests for assistance, except for explanations about the difficulties with the mandates of these organisations.

With this in mind, he suggested that officials of these organisations forget why they were created. Therefore, Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for a reboot of international organisations.
