US sees no signs of Wagner PMC withdrawal from Bakhmut - Politico

The publication notes that Wagner's men hold at least 85% of the city and have significant stocks of ammunition.

Politico's interlocutors called Evgeny Prigozhin's recent statements that the mercenaries lack ammunition and support from regular troops untrustworthy.

As a reminder, on May, 9 Yevgeny Prigozhin published a video stating that Wagner has not yet received ammunition from the Russian Ministry of Defence.

At the same time, the Kremlin has not seen an appeal from the owner of the Wagner PMC, Prigozhin, about the conflict with the Russian Ministry of Defence.

On May 5, the head of the PMC threatened to leave his positions in Bakhmut on 10 May due to a lack of ammunition and supplies, which allegedly ended in April.

Later, Prigozhin's press service reported that the Wagner PMC had reached an agreement with the Russian military leadership. At the time, Russian military aviation commander Sergei Surovikin was supposed to be the intermediary between Prigozhin and the Russian military leadership.
