The United States sanctioned an international network that helped Iran produce drones, including the Shahed UAV.
This is stated on the website of the US Department of the Treasury.
The restrictions apply to five legal entities and two individuals based in Iran, Hong Kong, Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates.
These companies and individuals facilitated shipments and financial transactions in support of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Aerospace Forces. In particular, they purchased servo motors and other critical components for the production of Iranian Shahed drones, which Iran supplied to Russia.
One of these engines was found at the crash site of a Russian Shahed-136 recently shot down in Ukraine.
It will be recalled that on September 19, the United States imposed sanctions against an international drone production network in Iran
