On the night of August 25, unknown persons provoked an emergency train stop in Poland and played the Russian national anthem and a fragment of Vladimir Putin's speech.
This was reported by the Polish media outlet Wyborcza.
The information about the hacker attack was confirmed by Magdalena Janus, a spokeswoman for the Polish railway PKP. She was informed about it, in particular, by the Polish Internal Security Agency.
The attackers sent an alarm signal to the radio frequencies used by the railway.
According to the newspaper, the signal began to be broadcast near Szczecin at around 9pm. It was heard both on trains and at checkpoints.
The signal stopped trains on line 237 (Central Szczecin - Daleszewo) and line 351 (Central Szczecin - Choszczno). The two routes have different frequencies, but the signal sounded simultaneously. At 10 p.m., unknown persons played the Russian national anthem over the public address system.
Around midnight, the alarm went off near Szczecin, but the situation was repeated in other parts of Poland, including Greater Poland.
The incident was reported to the relevant services, including law enforcement, railway guards and carriers.
