Ukrainians illegally deported to Crimea are held in a separate wing of the Simferopol pre-trial detention center

There is evidence that detention center staff do not have access to the wing where Ukrainians are detained. Neither human rights defenders nor lawyers have access to it.

"Lawyers have access only to those persons against whom criminal cases have already been initiated or suspicion declared. In this case, such people are not subjected to torture," writes the "ZMINA" public organization.
