Ukrainian Yaroslava Mahuchikh becomes world champion in high jump

At the World Championships in Budapest, Ukrainian Yaroslava Mahuchikh won gold in the high jump with a result of 2.01 metres.

The second and third places were taken by Australians Eleanor Patterson and Nicola Olyslagers with a result of 1.99 metres.
Mahuchikh has achieved the Olympic standard and will compete at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
The athlete won Ukraine's first gold medal at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest.
