Ukrainian investigators are investigating cases of "Iranian" drones and cannot yet confirm the country of manufacture.

This was reported by Ivan Chyzhevsky, prosecutor of the Department for Combating Crimes in the Context of Armed Conflict of the Prosecutor General's Office.

According to the prosecutor, more than 50 criminal proceedings have been opened over the use of kamikaze drones.

"We cannot say yet whether these are Iranian-made drones or not. A pre-trial investigation is underway. It will not be quick. After all, the examination is not a simple one, but one involving wide-ranging specialists who will be able to find out what kind of components they are and their origin," Chyzhevsky said.

The examination is complicated by air alerts and new Russian attacks. Using intelligence and technology, the investigation will also try to identify the operators of the drones.

"The date and place of manufacture, what contracts were concluded, who signed them - this is also very important in the course of the pre-trial investigation, in the course of establishing all the schemes," the prosecutor adds.

However, the Russians are trying to confuse Ukrainian investigators and experts. According to Chyzhevsky, the Russians sometimes deliberately label a certain company to mislead the experts. Or vice versa, they remove any markings.

Due to the use of kamikaze drones by the Russian army, Ukraine will sue in international courts.
