Ukraine wins 34 medals at the Invictus Games 2023

Ukraine has completed its performance at the Invictus Games 2023. It was Ukraine's fourth participation in the competition.

This was reported by Suspilne Sport.

Ukraine won 34 medals this year.

Of these, 12 are gold, 14 silver and 8 bronze. On the last day of the competition, the Ukrainian team managed to win team gold in archery.

In this discipline, Ukraine was represented by National Guard veteran Volodymyr Tovkys and veterans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Maksym Zubov and Vadym Maznichenko.

The following athletes also won gold medals for the Ukrainian national team:

• Oleksandr Makovey in athletics, shot put in the IF8 category);

• Mykola Zaritskyi in athletics, shot put, IF1 and rowing on simulators, endurance and IR5; 

• Nazar Vozniuk in rowing, endurance, IR2 and swimming;

• Volodymyr Tovkys in rowing, endurance, IR3 and sprint;

• Yuliia Shevchuk in classical archery;

• Pavlo Luchkiv in block archery;

The national team of Ukraine won silver medals:

• Mykola Zaritskyi in athletics, discus throw, IF1 and rowing on simulators, sprint, IR5;

• Maksym Zubov in powerlifting, IP6;

• Volodymyr Hera in athletics, discus throw, IF7;

• Maksym Dmytrash in athletics, long jump, IJ5 and rowing, sprint, IR6;

• Yuliia Shevchuk in rowing, endurance, IR5 and sprint, IR5;

• Ivan Moldun in rowing, sprint, IR2 and swimming;

• Oleh Dolzhok in rowing, sprint, IR3;

• Nazar Vozniuk in the coxswain's seat, sprint, IR4;

• Yulia Paievska in swimming; 

• Nazar Vozniuk, Oleksandr Ponomariov, Ihor Derman and Yevhen Kireionok in swimming, 4x50m freestyle relay;

The national team of Ukraine won bronze medals:

• Volodymyr Tovkys in athletics, discus throw, IF2;

• Vitalii Borodavka in athletics, 100m dash, IT7(O);

• Dmytro Polovian in swimming;
• Oleksandr Budko in swimming;

• Yaryna Alimanova in cycling, criterium, IRB3(M));

• Vadym Maznichenko in classical archery;

• Yulia Paievska in block archery.

Ukraine was represented by 25 participants, including military personnel and volunteers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the National Police and volunteer battalions.
