Ukraine returns two more POWs from Hungary — Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Ukrainian diplomats have returned two more Ukrainian prisoners of war from Hungary, who were handed over to Hungary by Russia.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Oleh Nikolenko, stated this.

The Ukrainian side has already managed to return five prisoners. Six more remain in Hungary.

It will be recalled that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reported that Hungary was holding in isolation 11 Ukrainian POWs, whom Russia had handed over to Hungary without Ukraine's knowledge.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said that their country was not involved in the exchange and that religious organisations had conducted the negotiations.
