Ukraine returns 130 people from Russian captivity


Head of the President's Office Andrii Yermak said that among them were military, border guards, National Guard, sailors and employees of the State Service of Ukraine for Transport and Communications. Privates and sergeants who were captured in the Bakhmut, Soledar, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson directions.

"Easter. The quintessence of this holiday is hope. This is exactly what the relatives of the prisoners who have been waiting for them for so long felt," Yermak wrote. 

According to Yermak, the big Easter prisoner exchange took place in several stages over the past few days. 

"Our lives are the highest value for us. "Heroes must be alive," as President Volodymyr Zelenskyy always says, and our team, the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, is fulfilling this task," the head of the Presidential Office wrote. 

As a reminder, on April 10, Ukraine returned 100 people from Russian captivity. The soldiers, sailors, border guards and National Guard returned home. Among them are the defenders of Mariupol, Azovstal and Hostomel.
