Ukraine restored the second backup power transmission line to Zaporizhzhia NPP, reports the IAEA press service.

Specialists have restored the operation of the second backup power line, which allows the operator to keep one line in reserve, while the other provides the power plant with external electricity necessary for reactor cooling and other important functions.
In addition, 6 reactors at ZNPP have already been switched to cold shutdown. Now they need less energy for cooling.
According to the IAEA Director, four main external power lines of ZNPP are not working, and now the plant does not provide electricity to households and factories.
