Ukraine receives first evidence of Russia's use of North Korean missiles in attacks on its regions
The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine has received evidence that Russia is using North Korean missiles in attacks on Ukrainian regions.
Prosecutor General Andrii Kostin said this on Suspilne.Sprotyv.
"The results of the preliminary scientific and technical examination confirm that the missile fired on January 2 at the central part of Kharkiv is a short-range missile developed by North Korea," Kostin said.
A comprehensive commission examination is underway to make a final determination.
Ukraine is also analysing other fragments of ammunition found at the sites of recent attacks in the Kharkiv and Odesa regions.
Earlier, the White House said that Russia used North Korean missiles in its attacks on Ukraine on December 30, 2023, and January 2 and 6, 2024.
It will be recalled that North Korea might sell Russia new types of tactical guided missiles in addition to the alleged deliveries.
