Ukraine needs more time to launch a counter-offensive — Zelenskyy

According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, combat brigades, some of which were trained by NATO countries, are "ready". However, the army still needs "some things", such as armoured vehicles, to launch a counter-offensive.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy reports this in an interview with BBC.

"With [what we already have], we can go forward, and, I think, be successful. But we'd lose a lot of people. I think that's unacceptable," Zelenskyy says.

The President expresses confidence about further moving the Ukrainian military forward, warning of the risks of a "frozen conflict", which, in his words, "Russia is counting on".
