Ukraine manages to return another child from the temporarily occupied territory

The Ministry of Reintegration has returned another child from the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region.

The press service of the Ministry reported this.

After the death of his grandmother, 14-year-old Ivan was to be placed in an orphanage on the temporarily occupied left bank of the Kherson region.

A family from the Kherson region, who now lives in the Kyiv region, volunteered to take custody of the boy. They had known Ivan for a long time, but they could not take him out of the occupied territory on their own.

"The Ministry of Reintegration and the Ukrainian Child Rights Network joined the case. The whole process of returning him lasted 22 days," the statement said.

In just three months of summer, Ukraine has returned 26 children through the Way Home programme.

It will be recalled that on August 16, Save Ukraine returned 11 more children abducted by the Russian Federation to Ukraine.
