Ukraine is ready to immediately discuss with the Georgian side the issue of transporting Mikheil Saakashvili to Ukraine for treatment and medical care
This is a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
On July 4, the Ambassador of Georgia arrived at the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry. There he was offered to return to Tbilisi to hold consultations on finding ways to resolve the current situation (inhumane treatment of Ukrainian citizen Saakashvili by the Georgian authorities - ed.)
"It was emphasised to the Georgian diplomat that such an attitude towards Mikheil Saakashvili is absolutely unacceptable. The Georgian authorities must stop abusing the citizen of Ukraine," the statement reads.
