Ukraine has been given the opportunity to import electricity from 15 EU countries on an emergency basis — Ukrenergo CEO Volodymyr Kudrytskyi

Kudrytskyi noted that the relevant agreement on multilateral emergency assistance came into force on March 29. Therefore, from now on, Ukrenergo can seek assistance in unforeseen situations, such as Russian attacks on the company's energy infrastructure.

"Previously, Ukraine could count on support from the energy systems of neighbouring countries. However, with the signing of the new agreement, the range of states from which emergency assistance can be requested, if necessary, has expanded to include power systems with which we are not neighbours," Kudrytskyi wrote.

He also said that "the agreement is another important contribution to Ukraine's energy stability and resilience".
