Ukraine expects restrictions on exports of Ukrainian agricultural products to be lifted

Ukraine expects the EU side will lift any restrictions on Ukrainian agricultural products.

This was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

"A comprehensive data and process analysis showed that Ukrainian grain exports are not the root cause of destabilization on the EU Single Market. For the duration of the European Commission’s ban and the prolonged absence of Ukrainian agricultural products, the problems of farmers in Slovakia, Poland, Romania, and Hungary were not resolved at the level of their governments," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine says.

Ukraine also calls on all EU member states to resume imports of Ukrainian grain products.

Ukraine's competitor on the global grain market is currently the Russian Federation. By artificially restraining exports of Ukrainian products, Russia is gaining additional conditions for international expansion and resources to continue its war against Ukraine, the Foreign Ministry said.

It will be recalled that the EU has extended temporary restrictions on imports of Ukrainian agricultural products until 15 September.

Bulgaria has now lifted restrictions on imports of Ukrainian agricultural products. Poland, in turn, adopted a resolution to extend the ban on imports of Ukrainian grain and sent an ultimatum to the EU.
