Ukraine does not recognize the so-called "United Transitional Cabinet" of Belarus headed by Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya due to "doubts" about her political position

Oleksandr Merezhko, the head of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Verkhovna Rada, said this in a comment to Radio Liberty.

According to Merezhko, Tsikhanouskaya does not clearly declare her position on the Russian Federation and has somewhat dubious people in her circle.

The deputy added that Kyiv could hold a dialogue with a legitimate Belarusian body, for example, with the Kalinoŭski Regiment as part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which "has proven by its actions at the frontlines that it has a pro-Ukrainian position and respect among the Belarusian opposition."
