Ukraine denies information about cholera outbreaks

Chief State Sanitary Doctor Ihor Kuzin said that the flooded areas were at risk of worsening the situation with infectious diseases, including cholera.

"As of now, no cases or suspected cases of cholera have been registered in Ukraine. All the results of tests of samples taken from both environmental objects and patients with signs of acute intestinal infection are negative," Kuzin wrote.

In the Kherson region, the epidemic situation in the flooded settlements is predictable and manageable. Enhanced epidemiological surveillance has been provided in the Kherson region.
