Ukraine and the United Nations agree on forming teams to provide humanitarian assistance and people evacuation of people in the left bank of the Kherson region

Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, and UN Resident Coordinator in Ukraine and Humanitarian Coordinator, Denise Brown, discussed strengthening UN assistance to overcome the humanitarian consequences of the Kakhovka HPP explosion. During the meeting, they agreed to form groups that would provide humanitarian aid and evacuate people from the left bank of the Dnipro River.

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reports this.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that the UN will establish these special groups in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson if safe passage to the occupied territories is ensured.

These teams will go to the affected areas in the temporarily occupied territories as soon as Russia provides access and security guarantees.

The UN is awaiting these guarantees from the Russian side and access to the occupied territories.
