UEFA revokes permission for Russian U-17 teams to participate in competitions
UEFA has cancelled the decision to allow Russian Under-17 teams to participate in competitions under a neutral flag.
AP reported this.
UEFA said that "no technical solution to allow Russian teams to play could be found."
Sky News journalist Rob Harris said that the Swedish Football Association's promise to block the Russian national team's participation in the U-17 Women's Championship was decisive for UEFA.
It will be recalled that in September, UEFA allowed Russian U-17 teams to participate in official international competitions this season.
The Ukrainian Football Association condemned UEFA's decision to allow U-17 teams from Russia to return to international competitions and called on other associations to boycott matches with Russian players.
