Two more blocked vessels leave Pivdennyi port in the Odesa region

The bulk carriers ANNA-THERESA (flying the flag of Liberia) and OCEAN COURTESY (Marshall Islands) have left Pivdennyi port in the Odesa region and are moving along the established corridor towards the Bosphorus.
The Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine reported this.
The vessels are moving through a temporary corridor towards the Bosphorus. They are carrying 56,000 tonnes of cast iron and 172,000 tonnes of iron ore concentrate.
The ANNA-THERESA bulk carrier has been in Pivdennyi Port since February 22, 2022, and the OCEAN COURTESY since February 16, 2022. They are operated by a Singaporean shipping company.
The corridor established by the navigational order of the Ukrainian Navy is primarily used to evacuate vessels that were in the Ukrainian ports of Chornomorsk, Odesa, and Pivdennyi at the time of the start of the full-scale invasion.
Since August 15, four vessels have already used the temporary corridor. The container ship JOSEPH SCHULTE and the bulk carrier PRIMUS sailed through the corridor on August 16 and 27.
Before that, the last Ukrainian produce ship left the port of Odesa on July 16. The next day, Russia suspended the grain deal and began attacking Ukrainian port infrastructure and food storage facilities.
On August 10, the Ukrainian Navy announced new temporary corridors for civilian vessels travelling to and from Ukrainian seaports. They noted that the routes remain subject to military and mine threats from Russia.
