Two civilians dead and nine wounded in Sumy region, including a child

On the night of September 14, Russia launched 76 Shahed combat drones at Ukraine. The Air Defense Forces reported shooting down 72 UAVs in the Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Poltava, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, and Sumy regions.

In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, the Russian army shelled Myropillia, Yunakivka, Lebedyn, Velyka Pysarivka, Krasnopillia, Esman, Bilopillia, Druzhba, Nova Sloboda, Yampil, Seredyna-Buda, Hlukhiv, Putivl, Shalyhyne, Svesa, and Khotin communities. An administrative building, a school, a pharmacy, a shop, a banking institution, two tractors, a car, some apartment buildings, and a hospital were damaged. The attack killed two people and wounded nine, including a child. 

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, south-central Ukraine, the Russians shelled Nikopol and the district, Marhanets, and the Pokrovsk, Chervonohryhorivka, Myrove, and Marhanets communities. Enterprises, a medical centre, a cafe, shops, a car wash, 22 cars, a motorcycle, a garage complex, power lines, six apartment buildings and nine private houses were damaged. Three people were injured in the attacks.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, partially occupied in the south since 2022, Russia shelled Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, Stepnohirsk, Novopavlivka and Levadne. 15 residential buildings and infrastructure facilities were damaged.  Over the day, the Russians launched 317 attacks. The regional military administration reports no casualties. 

In the Kyiv region, bordering Russia to the north, the falling wreckage of a downed UAV damaged two private houses, an outbuilding, the glass in an apartment building, and a car.

In Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, the debris fell on the territory of a utility company. 

In the Odesa region, south of Ukraine, Russia targeted the Izmail and Odesa districts with combat drones. The falling wreckage of the downed drones destroyed three constructions, damaging a residential building, a lock-up, a hangar wall, windows and doors of a country house. The roof of a private house, a car, and a warehouse caught fire. The regional military administration reported no casualties. 

In the Donetsk region, located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine and partially occupied since 2014, the Russians shelled Hirnyk, Biletske, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Kurakhove, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Hostre, Bohoiavlenka, Nova Poltavka, and Poltavka. Three civilians died and four suffered injuries. Twenty-five residential buildings, an administrative building, a church, a workshop, an enterprise, an educational institution, a service station, outbuildings, a gas pipeline, critical infrastructure, and cars were damaged. 

In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia in the east of Ukraine, Kharkiv, Zolochiv, Kupiansk, Novoosynove, Dvorichna, Lisne, and Borova came under attack by the Russian army. Five civilians were injured as a result of the shelling. Six private houses, a household, two outbuildings and three cars were damaged. The building of a bakery was destroyed, and an outbuilding was on fire. Grass, branches and forest litter also caught fire. 

In the Mykolaiv region, south of Ukraine, the Russians shelled the waters of Ochakiv, the Ochakiv community and the Kutsurb community. The regional military administration reported no casualties. 

In the Luhansk region, almost completely occupied by Russia, the Russian army fired on Nevske and Makiivka with various types of artillery and drones.

In the Kherson region, south of Ukraine, partially occupied since 2022, Russia shelled Kherson, Antonivka, Sadove, Bilozerka, Veletenske, Beryslav, Odradokamyanka, Mykolaivka, Kostyrka, and Kozatske. One civilian was killed and seven were injured in the attack. An educational institution, the canteen of a medical institution, two high-rise buildings, six private houses, a bus and private cars were damaged. 

In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, the Russians assaulted Semenivka, Karpovychi and Hremiach. Over the day, 41 explosions were recorded in the region.
