Training of Ukrainian military on Abrams tanks may begin in a few weeks — the White House Strategic Communications Coordinator for National Security Affairs John Kirby, CNN quoted him as saying.

According to him, the Pentagon will likely need "weeks, not months" to complete the training plan for the Ukrainian military on M1 Abrams tanks.
"They [the US Department of Defense - ed.] are still working on it. We don't think it will take too long. It may take weeks, not months," Kirby said.
At the same time, he notes that purchasing tanks and completing the training could take months.
