The volume of Ukrainian exports almost reached 100 million tons in 2022, which is 38.4% less than in 2021

Physical volumes also decreased by 38.4%. However, the ministry notes that the results are positive for wartime conditions.

According to preliminary data, the leader in sales is corn, whose exports amounted to 24.99 million tons, worth $ 5.94 billion. Sunflower oil ranks second in terms of export value at $ 5.46 billion. 

Ukraine also exported significant quantities of wheat, rapeseed, meat and soybeans.

Geographically, 63% of Ukrainian exports went to the EU. Among the EU member states, most exports were directed to Poland, Romania, Hungary, Germany, Italy and Spain. 

Outside the EU, Turkey became the largest export market, ahead of China.
