The USA has appointed the head of assistance in the restoration of Ukrainian power grids

Geoffrey Payette will coordinate the support of Ukraine’s energy industry from the US government. He will be responsible for coordinating efforts with international partners, including the G7 countries. 

“Assistant Secretary Pyatt is uniquely qualified to lead these efforts, having served as U.S. ambassador to Ukraine from 2013 to 2016, in addition to heading the department’s international energy policy and assistance programs,” said State Department spokesman Ned Price during the briefing.
