The United States is negotiating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation to facilitate obtaining visas for Russians

This was reported by Assistant Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland in an interview with the Russian TV channel "Dozhd".

According to Nuland, the White House wants Russians to get visas easier, because the United States believes that the more Russian citizens know about the United States, the better it will be for relations between the countries.

"This [visa ban for Russians] is not something we would like to do right now. In fact, we are even negotiating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to bring more consular officers to Moscow to make it easier for Russians to get visas," Nuland said.
